Cellist Ana Rucner continues to achieve success after success in China—a country where music, technology, and emotion increasingly merge into a harmonious whole and become her second home.
Following numerous performances and accolades in previous years, Ana has once again captured public attention with her performances at the largest musical events in Asia—most notably Music China Expo in Shanghai and the China International Import Expo (CIIE).
At the prestigious Music China Expo, Asia’s leading musical instrument trade fair, Ana was granted the special honor of being the first in the world to present Yamaha’s new electric cello—an instrument that combines contemporary design, innovation, and exceptional sound.
In addition to presenting the new instrument, Rucner was a guest at major festivals, including the Hongqiao Grassland Music Festival, and established a series of new collaborations with Chinese artists and producers. She was joined at several concerts by Croatian musician—drummer and trumpeter—Marko Duvnjak.
The highlight of Ana’s stay in China was her performance at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), one of the world’s largest economic and cultural events, where she performed with an E-band and actual robot musicians in a completely new concept that united technology and art in an unprecedented way.

The very next day, Ana also held a solo concert at the same event, once again confirming her exceptional artistic versatility and ability to connect different cultures through music.
“Music is a universal language that knows no boundaries. China inspires me anew each time and reminds me how much art can unite worlds, tradition, and innovation,” Ana said after her performances.
Through her work, energy, and unique musical expression, Ana Rucner once again confirms that Croatian art has global reach—and that passion, perseverance, and music truly know no boundaries.
Her next destination is India, where she will participate in the global event “One World, One Family,” which brings together representatives from 100 countries worldwide.
The highlight of that event, on November 23, will mark the opening of the largest free hospital for the poor with 600 beds, as well as a concert featuring 450 musicians from 40 countries, which will enter the Guinness Book of Records as the performance with the most performers from different parts of the world.
Ana will be part of that historic moment, together with four Croatian vocalists who built their careers in the LADO ensemble, once again spreading the message that music is a universal language that connects the world.
